[CS011] TIMBERLAND: Expressing brand heritage through real craft & collaboration.

Product Positioning Experiential & Design Social-First Capture

CHALLENGE

Immerse the Offspring community within Timberland’s brand story through a hands-on, leather workshop, strengthening their heritage brand value within sneaker culture.

OFFSPRING Store, Kings Cross, London📍

UNORTHODOX APPROACH

‘Tagged’ as a concept focuses on Timberland’s iconic shoe tag, enabling sneaker heads who desire limited edition products to engage with the brand’s storytelling through real-life application of craft on premium leather.

Macro details, material textures, and style moments — all stitched together to feel like a living mood board of the making process, we turned workshop moments into shareable snapshots of Timberland's craftsmanship in store.

From treating leather to the construction of product, water-proofing is at the heart of Timberland's process. Make It Wet conceptually relates to this in a playful way, but also through her focus on true craft and durability.
Our set design featured a workbench made of sterling board, cutting mats, storage caddies and stacking boxes.
We pre-prepared 30 leather, laser cutouts of Timberland, Offspring, and Make It Wet logos, etched with Make It Wet iconography.

CRAFT AND COLLABORATION

Partnering with Manchester designer, Make It Wet, to host the 2-hour leather workshop, 10 attendees stamped, punched and raw-edge-painted their leather tag under her guidance. We styled the space to resemble a tactile workshop where we then captured social-first content.

We also pre-prepared 30 blank leather, laser cutouts of Timberland, Offspring, and Make It Wet logos.

RELEVANCY

Through a real-life, educational workshop we tapped into what Timberland stands for, aligning the brand's cultural heritage with a new audience.

Leather technician Studio Candice Lau ensured that craft is at the heart of the event, leaning on her expertise with the material processes.
After participants applied their learned techniques, creating their personal leather tag, they attached it to a Timberland 6 Inch Boot, Field Boot, or Heritage Mac Cap to take home.
